What started out as a personal blog to share my stories about life as an English teacher in South Korea, Postcards & Places is now about telling stories about interesting places around the world, including some tales from my own travels, and bringing attention to global issues. It's also a creative journal for my art; I am endlessly inspired by the landscapes I see and the people I meet abroad.

Travel is more than just finding cheap flights or the next "best place" before it becomes cool; it's about understanding more about the world and our places in it. I hope that by reading my short stories on Postcards & Places, you discover something new.

We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.
